Visa information

Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other foreign nationals normally resident in the Republic of Uzbekistan can obtain visa from the Embassy. 

TOURIST VISA 

For Uzbekistan Nationals 

Visa application form needs to be filled in English alongwith two photographs to be pasted on the place marked on the application. Confirmed air bookings, hotel booking/invitation from host, support letter from Tourist companies conducting the trip, copies of the relevant pages of the previous passport, if any,(front page and the page where the last Indian visa sticker is pasted) to be produced while submitting the visa application form. 

For other Nationals 

Visa application form needs to be filled in English alongwith two photographs to be pasted on the place marked on the application. Applicants are required to produce proof of residence/registration/work visa in Uzbekistan, hotel bookings/ invitation from host and confirmed air bookings etc. should be produced while submitting the application form. A separate form meant for third country Nationals also needs to be filled and produced at the Visa counter. 

BUSINESS VISA 

Completed visa application form along with two photographs, Proof of Business, invitation letter from the concerned Indian company, a supporting letter from the Uzbek Company, hotel booking, confirmed air bookings and copies of the relevant pages of the previous passport, if any, are to be submitted at the visa counter. 
   
STUDENT VISA 

Student visa can be obtained on furnishing proof of admission to recognized universities/institutions in India for the duration of the course of study, proof of source of finance for the study in India, together with completed application form and two photographs. 

VISA FOR STUDY IN YOGA, VEDIC CULTURE, INDIAN SYSTEM OF MUSIC, DANCE ETC 

Visa to pursue studies in yoga, Vedic culture, Indian system of music, dance etc, in recognized Indian institutions is issued on production of admission letters from recognized Indian institutions. Application form is to be submitted in duplicate alongwith two photographs. Visa fees may be ascertained from the Consular Section of the Embassy. 

TRANSIT VISA 

Transit visas are also required to be obtained like other visas before departure for the purpose of direct transit to other country through India. Completed visa application form, confirmed air bookings, visa for the final destination etc are required to be produced at the time of applying for transit visa. Duration of transit should not ordinarily be more than three days. For a stay in India beyond three days a visa of the appropriate category should be applied for. 

MEDICAL VISA

Medical Visa can be applied for seeking medical treatment in established/recognized/specialized treatment centres in India for serious ailments like neuro-surgery, ophthalmic disorders, heart-related problems, renal disorders, organ transplantation, congenital disorders, gene therapy, radio therapy, plastic surgery, joint replacement etc. The applicant, along with the Visa application, needs to submit the diagnosis and treatment reports of local hospitals and a letter from the Hospital in India accepting the Patient for treatment.

VISA FOR MEMBERS OF SPORTS TEAMS

Filled in Visa application needs to be submitted along with Invitation from the respective Sports Federation/Body in India. Visa will be considered only after receipt of approval of the event by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Government of India. 

OTHER VISAS 

Applicants seeking visas for Research, attending International Conferences and Seminars held in India, film shooting, visiting spouses/ relatives of persons working/employed in India etc., are required to submit relevant supportive documents to prove the fact along with visa application forms. Consular Section may be contacted for further details. Other conditions for visa remain the same. 

VISA FEE 

For Uzbekistan Nationals

Tourist Visa (upto six months) US $ 40
Transit Visa (Valid for 15 days) US $ 20
Student Visa US $ 75



All Other Kinds of Visa:
  - Up to six months US $ 80
  -Up to one year US $ 120

For other Nationals

Applicants other than Uzbek Nationals may consult the Consular/Visa section to ascertain the Visa fee.

Note: An additional fee of US $ 3 will be levied on each Visa document as per Government instructions.
   
Each visa application is considered on its merits and the Embassy has the right to seek additional information at any stage during processing the requests. The fact that an application for visa has been received at the counter does not guarantee that visa will be issued. The Embassy reserves the right to refuse a visa without assigning any reason for the same.

WORKING HOURS 

Visa applications can be submitted at the Consular Section of the Embassy of India, Tashkent from 0930 - 1230 hrs on all working days. Embassy is closed on Saturdays & Sundays. Visas can be collected from the Consular Section during 1600 – 1700 hrs.
