Visa information

Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other foreign nationals normally resident in the Republic of Uzbekistan can obtain visa from the Embassy.

                                                    TOURIST VISA

For Uzbekistan Nationals

Visa application form (to be filled in English) alongwith two photographs to be pasted on  visa application form. Confirmed air bookings, hotel booking/invitation from host, copies of the relevant pages of the previous passport, if any,(front page and the page where the last Indian visa sticker is pasted) to be produced while submitting the visa application form. A fee of US $ 40 is to be paid by each applicant for a Tourist visa.  Children above the age of 15 years, whose names are entered in parent’s passports, need to fill up a separate application form and are charged a fee of US $ 40 for visa.

For other Nationals

Visa application form (to be filled in English) alongwith two photographs to be pasted on  visa application form. Applicants are required to produce proof of residence/registration/work visa in Uzbekistan, hotel bookings/ invitation from host and confirmed air bookings etc., should be produced while submitting the application form. Fee may be ascertained from the Consular Section.

BUSINESS VISA

Completed visa application form along with two photographs, invitation letter from the concerned Indian company, a supporting letter from the Uzbek company, hotel booking, confirmed air bookings and copies of the relevant pages of the previous passport, if any, are to be submitted at the visa counter. A visa fee of US $ 80 to be paid by each applicant. For other nationals, fees may be ascertained from the Consular Section.

                                                STUDENT VISA

Student visa can be obtained on furnishing proof of admission to recognized universities/institutions in India for the duration of the course of study, proof of source of finance for the study in India, together with completed application form and two photographs. Visa fees may be ascertained from the Consular Section.

VISA FOR STUDY IN YOGA, VEDIC CULTURE, INDIAN SYSTEM OF MUSIC, DANCE ETC

Visa to pursue studies in yoga, Vedic culture, Indian system of music, dance etc, in recognized Indian institutions is issued on production of admission letters from recognized Indian institutions. Application form is to be submitted in duplicate alongwith two photographs. Visa fees may be ascertained from the Consular Section of the Embassy.

TRANSIT VISA

Transit visas are also required to be obtained like other visas before departure, as transit visas for brief halts in India (up to 72 hours) enroute to other destinations cannot be obtained from Immigration counters at the airports in India. Completed visa application form, confirmed air bookings, visa for the final destination etc are required to be produced at the time of applying for transit visa. Visa fee is US $ 10 for Uzbekistan nationals and for other nationals the fee may be ascertained from the Consular Section.. This visa is not advisable for transit halt of less than 6 hours in India in which case travellers are advised to contact the concerned airline for making arrangements for providing them with boarding passes for onward flights in the transit hall at the airports in India.

OTHER VISAS

Applicants seeking visas for Research, attending International Conferences and Seminars held in India, film shooting, visiting spouses/ relatives of persons working/employed in India etc., are required to submit relevant supportive documents to prove the fact along with visa application forms. Consular Section may be contacted for further details. Other conditions for visa remain the same.

VISA FEE

A fee of US $ 40 (US Dollars Forty Only) is charged for each visa (except transit visa) valid up to six months for all Uzbekistan nationals. For long term visas and visas for other nationals, fees may be ascertained from the Consular Section of the Embassy.

Each visa application is considered on its merits and the Embassy has the right to seek additional information at any stage during processing the requests. The fact that an application for visa has been received at the counter does not guarantee that visa will be issued. The Embassy reserves the right to refuse a visa.

WORKING HOURS

Visa applications can be submitted at the Consular Section of the Embassy of India, Tashkent from 0930 - 1230 hrs on all working days. Embassy is closed on Saturdays & Sundays. Visas can be collected from the Consular Section during 1600 – 1700 hrs.
